"The truth of the matter, my dear Lord Reville, is-but, please, let me offer you some tea-I brought it home from Darjeeling when I last visited there during that dreadful native rebellion last spring-where was I?-OH YES-the truth is that I've pursued the villain up and down the coast of Cornwall for the past twenty years, and now I feel my energy draining away and, in short, I'm old, and you're not. You must carry on!"

Play must run approx. 1 minute (word count not to exceed 500).

Play must have NO more than 6 characters.

Content of play should be appropriate for all/family audiences.

Six panel-selected finalists (three in each category) will be posted online and one winner in each category will be selected by public vote online at IveyAwards.com in August 2007.

Only winners will be notified of contest results.

No inquiries will be answered. Please no phone calls or e-mails.

Two winners (one adult and one youth) will each receive an actors' reading of their winning entry at the Ivey Awards September 24, 2007 in Minneapolis, and two complimentary tickets to the event. In addition, the adult winner will receive a $1,000 Mall of America gift card. The youth winner will receive a $500 Mall of America gift card, and the school the youth attends will also receive a $500 Mall of America gift card.
